About Us

The Kansas Nursing Schools Guide was created as part of the Kansas Nursing Pathways Project, funded by the Kansas Board of Regents. The goal of the project is to improve nursing education in Kansas and increase the number of students attending Kansas nursing schools.

The Kansas Nursing Schools Guide helps potential students, their families, and/or guidance counselors decide which nursing school is best for them.

The Kansas Nursing Workforce Center

The Kansas Nursing Workforce Center (KNWC), established in 2023, is based at the University of Kansas School of Nursing and committed to the entire state.

Our mission is to ensure that every Kansan has access to nursing care when and where it is needed and to support the nurse as an individual and as a member of the healthcare team.

The KNWC produces public-facing reports and develops programs that support the nursing workforce. As the Kansas representatives at the National Forum of State Nursing Workforce Centers, we contribute to national discussions and initiatives.
